Demo Submission Guidelines
We are not currently accepting submissions for our reclabel, but we are accepting demos for upcoming compilations for our netlabel series.
Being a small (and incredibly understaffed) label, we need your help in following our guidelines. Before deciding to send any music to us:
1. Make sure that your music fits our aesthetic. That means you need to listen to the music of our current artists to see if you will be a good fit.
2. Though we love a wide range of music from many genres, our focus is on electronica, ambient and (electronic) downtempo. If your music doesn't fall under at least one of those categories, don't waste your valuable time.
3. Submit no more than 3 of your best tracks. If we want to hear more, we'll let you know. Send only music that you think is your best finished work.
4. You must own all the rights to the music. We do not have the resources to help you clear samples or music that is not fully owned by you.
5. Understand that being published on our netlabel will not make you wealthy. Not even close. Our netlabel's releases are free to music fans, and we value artistry and community most.
You can submit music one of two ways:
1. Via an email message with links to your tracks.
Very important: DO NOT send your mp3 files directly to our email address. Links only. We will ignore your submission if you send the files themselves. Also, mp3 format only. Please also incluse a brief bio and, if you have a website, send us the address.
2. Via regular mail. Send your demo CD, a brief bio and contact info (preferably email) to this address:
Deep Lever
P.O. Box 2052
Winnetka, CA 91396
U.S.A
Do not send cassettes, vinyl, or DATs. CDs only.
Finally, if you submit a demo, please understand that we are extremely understaffed and do not have the resources to reply to everyone. It doesn't mean your music isn't good. It may mean that we feel it may not be right for our label.
No matter what...Stay strong. Keep creating.
